Now Opened – GNYPCC Nominations for Four Board Positions

Dear members:

The GNYPCC is open for nominations for four Board positions. These positions will take effect at the beginning of the program year, October 1, 2018.

The four positions are VP Communication, VP Education, VP Membership, and VP Sponsorship.

The responsibilities for each are listed below. If you are interested in running for any of these positions please submit a brief bio to gnypcc@usps.gov no later than Friday June 1, 2018. It will be reviewed by the Executive Board and ELECTION will take place during the June 20, 2018 PCC meeting.

To qualify as a candidate you must attend a minimum of six (6) meetings per year to be considered in good standing. There are a total of nine (9) meetings per year.

Article VII. Responsibilities of the Executive Board Members and Board Members
All PCC Officers should be enthusiastic and dedicated to the council’s objectives, should contribute to the overall professionalism of the PCC, and should promote the benefits of council membership.

Communication – this committee is responsible for the production of the monthly newsletter as well as the creation and maintenance of the website.

Education – this committee is dedicated to developing educational programs for the entire year, both for regular monthly meetings as well as National PCC Day.

Membership – this committee is responsible for the retention of current members and acquisition of new members. It will seek out potential new members in industries not currently represented by the present membership.

Sponsorship – this committee will solicit sponsors for the monthly breakfast meetings as well as any special events.
