December 1st is the kick off date for Operation Santa 2017.  As many of you know, this program originated in 1912 when Postal Workers saw an opportunity to fulfill children’s Christmas wishes by answering some of the numerous letters addressed to Santa Claus, North Pole.

Today, this program has evolved quite a bit and is still going strong, thanks to the generosity of the communities we serve and the hard work of our United States Postal Family.

Individuals and businesses alike, make it part of their holiday tradition to answer these letters, so we ask you to share this information with your stations and customers who are interested.  And if you would like to participate during your off-hours, visit us at the James A. Farley Post Office and answer a letter.  This program is much beloved in the community and exists in large part due to your hard work.

Visit Operation Santa at the James A. Farley Post Office at 421 8th Avenue, directly opposite Penn Station.  The program runs through January 5th.

Our hours of operation are as follows:

Dec. 1st:  9-4pm
