About the Customs House:
The Alexander US Customs House, a US Historical Landmark, located at One Bowling Green in New York City is currently the home of the National Museum of the American Indian–New York, the George Gustav Heye Center. The museum’s permanent and temporary exhibitions—as well as a range of public programs, including music and dance performances, films, and symposia—explore the diversity of the Native people of the Americas.
We will start with Continental Breakfast served in the Collector’s Office (which has paintings on the walls and a beautiful ceiling) with lunch in the Rotunda.
We will offer a brief guided tour of the historical building and Smithsonian Exhibit directly after lunch and before final words.
